I would much rather see the ability to have Macros appear in any of Fusion's menus, where they best fit. "It's only a Macro", as if it's anything less clever, or fast, or worthy. It also appears to support the idea of Macros being second-rate citizens among the Fusion tools. So I would encourage everyone to follow Atomiser in that regard.įrankly, I've wished that the Macro category wasn't there at all, in Fusion. But on the Reactor side it improves the discoverability of tools (and I feel it may also encourage better categorisation). So with that in mind, suppose I'm looking for a certain type of Filter in Reactor, I would expect to go look inside Tools/Filter rather than Tools/Filter and Tools/Macros and Tools/Fuses.įor the Fusion side of things it doesn't really matter that much either if you're expecting to find Macros in the Macros category, they will still end up in there. They are merely different ways of getting to a result that the user wants. I shouldn't really matter if a tool is a Macro, or a Fuse, or a Plugin. Here's a bit of the thinking behind this.
